MOVIE REVIEW:

Months ago, Korean drama “Princess Hours” has caused a sensation in Asia, sweeping the audience off their feet with immense delight and captivated their hearts with tears and joy.

Hot on the trail comes along the “Prince Hours”, which was embroiled in a copyright battle in Korea. In spite of a different cast from the previous production, it still maintains the essential essence of sight and sound – handsome gentlemen, beautiful ladies, impressive costumes/props etc. All these spelt of the royal nobility.

In general, the production crew of “Prince Hours” evidently works on the previous magical formula – started off the drama in a carefree, ordinary mode to a gradual focus on heavier issues – politics and internal conflict within the Royal family and their extended relatives.

Lee Hoo (Seven), the main character, has the greatest change from an ordinary, fun-loving delivery guy to a serious Royal Prince who is donned with heavy responsibilities, as one of the potential candidates for the reigning King position.

The glamour of being part of the Royal family actually comes with the sacrifice of privacy and the tolerance of always under the attention of the limelight. A seemingly small error maybe easily magnified through the media. Well, it reminds us of the famous royal family, Prince Charles in real life.

The 4 young lead artistes in the drama easily wowed the audience over with their earnest acting and good looks. At the same time, the veteran actors, mainly of the supporting cast does wonders too.

Never mind the naysayers of the “Prince Hours”. The drama series has proven to be comparably quality standard of “Princess Hours”. Of course, the latter will be of more novelty. Nevertheless, audience will still enjoy watching “Prince Hours” greatly.
