ALBUM REVIEW:
The cash cow that is High School Musical (HSM) is back to
milk money out of fans worldwide again. And truth be told,
we think it’s going to be one rollicking fun time that
will deliver happiness and joy for almost everyone.
The
38-minute soundtrack of the phenomenal TV movie sequel contains
more enjoyably pleasing tunes that will leave you humming
to the catchy melodies.
The
big number “What Time Is It” introduces us to
the characters welcoming summer with zest and anticipation.
We can already imagine wonderfully-choreographed dance moves
that will have viewers tapping their feet to the infectiously
delightful song.
Listen
out for “You Are The Music in Me”, where Troy
and Gabriella (if you don’t know already, they are the
up-and-coming male and female heartthrobs who play the leading
roles in HSM) sing their hearts in an agreeably affecting
song. Then there is Sharpay’s version (she’s the
resident bitch – every high school movie has got to
have one), which is well, bitchily catching.
For
listeners who like their songs to be emotionally moving, jump
to tracks like “Gotta Go My Own Way” and “Everyday”.
With inspiring lyrics and pleasurably sweet melodies, they
are also karaoke-friendly tunes you may want to look out for.
In
the true spirit of high school dramas, the album is one in
high-spirited listening experience; we guarantee that you’d
be loving it, and putting it on repeat mode like us.
Unless
you are a scrooge of course.
