Synopsis:

The Jonas Brothers head to the big screen—in Disney Digital 3-D™—in a high-energy Walt Disney Pictures rockumentary feature film event from director Bruce Hendricks ("Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert"). The film blends excerpts from the Brothers' red-hot "Burning Up" concert tour, including guest performances from Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift, with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, off-the-wall segments, a never-before-heard song ("Love Is On Its Way"), swarming fans and a lot of JB-style humor—giving fans never-before-seen insights into the lives of Kevin, Joe and Nick.

Movie Review:

What does it take to be a Jonas Brother?

First, you’d have to part of an all American pop rock boy band with a mop of floppy hair to go with those above average good looks. Vocal quality? That isn’t exactly the priority here. Second, you would have gained popularity by on a popular children televsision network, and starred in 2008’s Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. Ability to act and emote? That isn’t exactly the priority here either. Third, you would have been nominated in 2008 for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards, and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. Also, you would have released three albums (one per year!) since the day you shot to stardom: It's About Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007), and A Little Bit Longer (2008). A fourth one in the pipeline considering that your previous three CDs have been selling like hot cakes? Definitely. If you there are readers who really must know, the album will be entitled Lines, Vines and Trying Times, and it’ll be released in June later this year.

We can hear fans screaming in delight already. And amidst those fanatic screams of joy, we can also hear someone asking: “Isn’t this supposed to be a movie review? Why are we reading the biography of The Jonas Brothers?”

That’s because this 76 minute affair isn’t exactly a movie. It’s a 76 minute affair which follows The Jonas Brothers as they perform on their “Burning Up Tour” in July and August last year.

That’s all you need to know about the, err, synopsis of this 76 minute affair which was made with teenage female fans (who else could it be?) in mind.

If you are not a fan, and is simply interested in experiencing the “3D Concert Experience”, please allow us to provide you with more information about the very, very, very popular boy band: Hailing from Wyckoff, New Jersey, The Jonas Brothers are Kevin, Joe and Nick. They made their acting debut in the popular Disney Channel Original Series Hannah Montana, starring the equally popular Miley Cyrus.  Soon after, they collaborated with Cyrus again to be in her 3D Concert Film, Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, where they were the opening act.

It explains then, why this 76 minute affair was produced. It is helmed by Bruce Hendricks, the director of Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert which apparently pleased many, many, many fans. So here we have another similar film filmed in Disney Digital 3-D and only shown in Digital 3D. Put on those funky 3D glasses and you’d see Joe (lead vocals) thrust the microphone at you. You can also expect generous amounts of confetti, fountains of water from water drums and guitar picks being “thrown” at you during different portions of the concert.

There are also guest performances by Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift, two up and coming artistes often associated with the brothers. Fans will be amused with scenes of the brothers waking up in bed, rushing to the concert venue, and, hold your breath, changing in the make up room.

Is this a movie? No. Watch it if you are a die hard fan, or if you want to be surrounded by die hard fans who never got the chance to pay for that expensive ticket to see the Jonas Brothers perform “live”.
