Legendary manga creator Akira Toriyama has died at age 68 due to a blood clot in the brain.
Toriyama was known for his Dr. Slump and Dragon Ball series which was launched back in 1984. It became a worldwide sensation spawning an anime series, video games, action figures and also a disasterous Hollywood live-action movie, Dragon Ball Evolution starring Justin Chatwin and Chow Yun-Fat.
While Toriyama is a well-known recluse and has retire from day-to-day work on the popular manga property, he was known to give his inputs on several Dragon Ball related projects from time to time.
