SOUNDTRACK REVIEW:
I must forewarn our dear readers that the following review
might be a little biased consider the writer has a soft spot
for movie theme parks. Thus to possess a compilation of theme
music from Universal Studio Japan is a godsend.
The
cd started off with the astounding theme for “Back to
the Future”, this timeless Alan Silvestri’s classic
has the tendency to bring to mind the adventures of Doc Brown
and Mcfly even without the visuals playing in front of you.
How
about John William’s grand orchestra piece for the opening
of “Jurassic Park”? Smash Mouth’s “I’m
a Believer” from “Shrek”, Hans Zimmer’s
patriotic-sounding piece from “Backdraft” and
Danny Elfman’s memorable theme from “Spider-man”?
This collection
basically covered all the music from the rides and attractions
in Universal Studio Japan. If you haven’t got the chance
to venture there, fret not, I can safely say almost ninety-percent
of the music contained here are familiar to the ears.
I’m
starting to get carried away but to conclude, this is truly
a recommended and digestible soundtrack for true movie fans.
ALBUM RATING:
Recommended Tracks: (1) Back To The Future, (2) Theme From
Jurassic Park, (10) Spider-Man (Main Title)
