Review:

The art of black magic being use in movie is quite rare these days. The last movie that I saw that deals with black magic is the 1996 movie ‘The Craft’ starring Neve Campbell. Even that I do not consider the true art of black magic. That is nothing compare to ‘Art Of The Devil’!

‘Art Of The Devil’ has a story that is being told numerous time on movies and TV series especially those soap opera. But that does not stop it from being interesting and exciting. The pacing is fast and it really gets to the point. It doesn’t beat around the bush. It doesn’t give you time to stop and think. And the best part is not a movie that scares you when you watch it. The fear sinks in after you finished the movie. And that’s how a true horror movie should be.

If you are worrying that the art of the black magic being done silly or cheesy. Fear not, as the director and writer might have done some real research as the filming of a scene where a guy performs the art of black magic looks quite believable. Not that I have actually seen people performing such art but I heard of stories. Who hasn’t?

For those who are into blood and gore [just like me] well there are numerous scenes of that! People coughing out blood and people vomiting out some creepy crawlies. Trust me, you will dig it! And not to mention the actresses! They sure look like they pop right out of FHM! I’m voting for them to be in the next month issue!!

You can basically sum this movie as ‘The Craft’ meets ‘The Omen’ meets ‘I Spilt On Your Grave’. Thailand sure knows how to make one creepy like hell black magic movie!!!

Overall is a movie worth watching. And if only watch one movie a week, watch ‘The Art Of The Devil’. You won’t be disappointed.
