We Not Naughty - Top Grossing Chinese Movie For 2 Weekends!

UPDATE: We Not Naughty, the local Chinese New Year movie by director Jack Neo starring Joshua Ang, Shawn Lee, well-known Hong Kong artiste Daniel Chan, Taiwanese actress Cherry Hsia etc, hits the S$2 million mark at the box office as of 15 February, after four weeks of its theatrical release!

Several schools also showed their support by doing group bookings for their students to watch WE NOT NAUGHTY together. 1,500 students from Gan Eng Seng Secondary School took up five cinema halls at Golden Village VivoCity yesterday for an afternoon screening. Casts including Joshua Ang, Loi Fey Hui, Jacky Chin and Director Jack Neo made a special appearance at the screening! Written by Jack Neo and Ho Hee Ann and with a production budget of more than SGD $1 million, WE NOT NAUGHTY is a poignant story which examines the problems faced by parents with their rebellious children in Singapore’s current society. The movie also sees local actors such as Xiang Yun, Loi Fey Hui, Yan Liming, Eric Moo and Jacky Chin taking up various roles.

The movie has collected SGD $1.3 million Gross Box Office since its opening on 19 January 2012!

We Not Naughty, directed by Jack Neo, with an ensemble cast including Joshua Ang, Shawn Lee, well-known Hong Kong artiste Daniel Chan, Taiwanese actress Cherry Hsia and MediaCorp actress Xiang Yun, is a poignant story which examines the problems faced by parents with their rebellious children in Singapore's current society. The movie is written by Jack Neo and Ho Hee Ann, with a production budget of more than SGD $1 million.

The producers are hopeful the movie will hit $2 million box office in Singapore. The movie opens in Malaysia in March.
