TOP GROSSING TAIWANESE HORROR IN TAIWAN FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS "THE TAG-ALONG" OPENS IN SINGAPORE ON 21ST JANUARY 2016!

THE TAG-ALONG (红衣小女孩), the top grossing Taiwanese horror in Taiwan for the last 10 years, is finally hitting the big screens in Singapore on 21st January 2016! The movie collected more than NT $80 million (approx SGD $4 million) as of December 2015, which also puts it as the third highest grossing Taiwanese movie in its domestic box office chart for 2015, ranking right behind OUR TIMES and THE WONDERFUL WEDDING.

Horror fans in Singapore, who are also Golden Village Movie Club members, will be able to be one of the first in Singapore to watch THE TAG-ALONG if they can attend the Super Sneaks sessions happening on 15th January! Tickets for these Super Sneaks sessions are now available for sale via all Golden Village sales channels!

Based on the famous urban legend in Taiwan that haunts the Taiwanese people since the late 1990s, THE TAG-ALONG stars leading actress Hsu Wei-ning (who recently won Best Supporting Actress for her role in popular Taiwanese TV drama THE WAY WE WERE at the 2015 Golden Bell Awards) and actor River Huang.

The movie, which is Cheng Wei-hao's directorial debut, is an adaptation of the most talked-about mysteries in Taiwan that revolves around a mysterious little girl in red. The movie starts with Wei’s (River Huang) grandma disappeared for no reason but her housework and routines were always completed, strangely. Wei was clueless about it till he finds a video in his grandma’s camera showing that there was a little girl in red tagging along her. Oddly, after Wei’s grandma finally returns, Wei goes missing instead. Struggling to unravel the enigma, Wei’s girlfriend Yi-Chun (Wei-ning Hse) gradually discovers that the mysteries behind missing Wei and his grandma might be linked to the “The Little Girl in Red”, but what is worse is yet to come…

The movie was also the closing film for the 52nd Golden Horse Awards last year.

THE TAG-ALONG is co-distributed by Clover Films and Golden Village Pictures and opens in cinemas islandwide on 21st January 2016.
