Theme song for 'My Love, Sinema' clinches TOP spot on iTunes Mandopop charts
The theme song for upcoming local movie has clinched the top spot on the iTunes Mandopop charts, just days after its release! Titled《放映爱》after the movie, the soulful ballad features the vocals of film’s lead actor Tosh Zhang, who sings his very first Mandarin love song. Tosh stars opposite Cheryl Wee in his very first period drama, ‘My Love, Sinema’.
In addition, the official music video for the theme song was launched last night on Tosh’s YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/user/Tosh13). Featuring Tosh and Cheryl, It will see the pair meeting for the first time at an exhibition, with intercuts of the movie footage featuring the on-screen couple. In line with the movie, the music video portrays the innocence of love, and ultimately, how one remembers and reminisces the ups and downs of a relationship.
Members of the public can also look forward to ‘My Love, Sinema’ hitting the big screens on 8 September 2016.

"MY LOVE, SINEMA" OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES ORIGINAL THEME SONG FEATURING TOSH ZHANG
FLY Entertainment has launched the original theme song for upcoming local movie ‘My Love, Sinema’. The theme song titled《放映爱》 shares the same name of the movie in Mandarin. The soulful ballad features the vocals of local star and lead actor Tosh Zhang, who sings his very first Mandarin love song. The song will be available for digital download on the iTunes store from 1 August.
Specially written for the movie by acclaimed Cultural Medallion recipient and singer-songwriter Dr. Liang Wern Fook, the song depicts the nostalgic love story of protagonist Kheong (Tosh Zhang) and Wei (Cheryl Wee), who find themselves facing various obstacles that prevent them from being together.
When sharing about his experience working on the song, Tosh Zhang said, “Many people grew up listening to Dr. Liang's works in the ‘80s and ‘90s, so it is indeed an honour to sing a song that he penned. I was very nervous initially, as this is my first time singing an entire song in Mandarin. I am more comfortable with rap, but this was a great opportunity for me to try something different, learn proper voice techniques and progress as an artiste. It is a very meaningful song that brings out the themes of the movie very well. I hope that this song will inspire listeners to pursue their dreams, and remember fond memories of their loved ones.”

The song is also available for streaming on SingTel AMPEd, Spotify and Apple Music. A ringtone version of the song will be featured on SingTel Music Store as well as Starhub – Music Anywhere. Fans can look out for the music video of the theme song, which will be launched on 3 August.
