DAVID R. ELLIS (1952 - 2013)

His movies might not be favourites among the critics but director David R. Ellis who started out as a stuntman has directed cult flicks such as Snakes On A Plane and Asylum.

Sadly, Director David R. Ellis reportedly passed away in Johannesburg, South Africa while prepping his next film, Kite, an adaptation of a Japanese animé that has Samuel L. Jackson attached as the lead. No cause of his passing has been announced.

His last big screen feature was Shark Night 3D and he also helmed The Final Destination.
