Here's the Oscar results for 2013

Best Director - Ang Lee for LIFE OF PI (The biggest surprise of the night! Life Of Pi will also return to theaters this week)

Best Picture - ARGO  (Congratulations, Ben Affleck. A truly remarkable turnaround for who was thought once a has been actor, ARGO will return to theaters this week in addition the DVD is also out)

Best Adapted Screenplay goes to Chris Terrio for ARGO ! (Onwards for Best Picture, we say!)

Best Original Score - Mychael Danna, LIFE OF PI. (Deserving win in our opinion!)

Best Editing - ARGO  (Might be the start of a great night for the Ben Affleck film)

Best Sound Mixing - LES MISERABLES. (For putting up with Russell Crowe's voice, we think they deserve it.)

Best Foreign Language Film - AMOUR . (Available on DVD now)

Best Makeup - LES MISERABLES. (The PG13 version is still showing in cinemas now)

Best Animated Feature Film - BRAVE (Go, Pixar!)

Best Actor - Daniel Day Lewis for LINCOLN. (Again, no surprises here)

Best Leading Actress - Jennifer Lawrence, SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK. (Great performance in our opinion!)

Best Original Screenplay to Quentin Tarantino for DJANGO UNCHAINED! (Catch it in cinemas 21 Mar!)

Best Original Song - 
SKYFALL  by Adele. (One of the best Bond songs in a long while if you ask us)

Best Production Design - LINCOLN. (Did you catch the Steven Spielberg film last weekend?)

Best Supporting Actress - Anne Hathaway, LES MISERABLES. (No surprises on this one)

Best Sound Editing goes to SKYFALL and ZERO DARK THIRTY! (Have you seen both excellent movies?)

Best Costumes - ANNA KARENINA. (The Joe Wright film starring Keira Knightley is available on DVD now)

Best Visual Effects and Best Cinematography - LIFE OF PI (Congratulations to the team of the splendid Ang Lee film!)

Best Supporting Actor - Christoph Waltz, DJANGO UNCHAINED. (Movie opens 21 Mar in Singapore).

2013 Oscar Nominees

Not a surprise, Ben Affleck and Quentin Tarantino are out for Best Director though ARGO and DJANGO UNCHAINED are both up for Best Picture. Some of the nominated titles are streaming in slowly into local theaters but here are our reviews for those that are currently showing:
