We just can't stop talking about Rocky it seems. We have just
reviewed the latest instalment of the movie series, the soundtrack
and a spin-off book. And yet right now, we are still talking
about it. Huge coverage or some crazy antics of a fanboy?
Nope we prefer to call it, a tribute to a film icon.
30 years ago, a down-and-out trawler becomes one of the world
most famous heavyweight boxing champion. His name is none
other than Rocky Balboa. Perhaps, most of you out there aren't
that familiar with the character Rocky or Sylvester Stallone
the actor, script-writer and director. Then this ultimate
guide will be the perfect fodder for you.
Writer Edward Gross traces the fictional Rocky from his beginnings,
carefully taking note of his milestones and profiles his opponents,
friends and love ones. Screen-stills populated the pages making
it a relatively easy chore to go through. The best thing is
it's written as though you are reading a non-fiction biography.
To top it off, the last chapter is dedicated to the movies'
behind-the-scene snippets. Indeed, this is the ULTIMATE GUIDE
to the Italian Stallion. And
a gracious closing chapter of one of the most cinematic icons
of all time.

VERDICT:
This
will make a nice display on your bookshelf if you are a true
diehard fan of the Rocky series. However, if you have never
heard of Mr Balboa in your life, this book will make the perfect
entrance to the world whereby courage and hardwork stands
side-by-side.
